With full support from Shenzhen municipal leaders, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of State Council (SASAC), and the Shenzhen Smart City Technology Development Group Co., Ltd.(SZSC), SUTPC (a subsidiary of SZSC) collaborated with its partner GST Company to sign the "Abu Dhabi Smart Transportation Digital Platform" project with the Abu Dhabi Department of Transportation in the United Arab Emirates. The project officially commenced on November 1, 2024. As a leading developer of next-generation urban transportation systems, SUTPC continues to export "Chinese solutions" for smart cities and transportation globally, achieving frequent breakthroughs in overseas markets.

The Abu Dhabi Smart Transportation Digital Platform project took over a year from negotiation to signing. In July 2023, Mayor Qin Weizhong met with a delegation led by Chairman Shuraifah of the Abu Dhabi Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT). To deepen understanding of Shenzhen’s experience in municipal digitalization, urban planning, and smart cities, Chairman Shuraifah’s team visited the Shenzhen Smart City Group. Under the guidance of SASAC and SZSC leadership, SUTPC participated in the "Going Global" symposium in the Middle East, engaging in in-depth discussions with Abu Dhabi on project implementation models and reaching a cooperation consensus. On January 26, 2024, Shenzhen and Abu Dhabi signed a friendly exchange city agreement. Witnessed by Mayor Qin Weizhong, SUTPC signed agreements for smart city cooperation and innovation laboratory co-construction with Abu Dhabi.

The project’s official launch successfully replicates China and Shenzhen’s advanced experience in intelligent transportation and smart city construction on the global stage. As a key initiative for Abu Dhabi’s smart transportation digital transformation, it integrates big data analytics, cloud computing, digital twins, and intelligent algorithms to upgrade business processes, enhance traffic management efficiency, and elevate urban intelligence levels. This collaboration aims to set a new benchmark for global smart city development while fostering joint progress between Abu Dhabi and Shenzhen in smart transportation.

SUTPC has continuously extended the expansion experience of the Abu Dhabi smart transportation project. Recently, SUTPC DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY (HONG KONG) LIMITED successfully won the bid for the "Hong Kong Electrification and Intelligent Mobility and Services (eMAAS) Project". On the afternoon of November 5, a project signing ceremony was held in Shenzhen. Hu Jianping, Chairman of New Century Development International Co., Ltd., and Yue Yi,  Chief Advisor, as well as Li Muping, General Manager of SUTPC, and Liu Yongping,  Deputy General Manager of  Business Division, attended the ceremony. The two sides jointly signed the project contract. The project will deliver a batch of pure-electric integrated intelligent vehicles for patrol networks and integrate advanced intelligent travel systems to provide integrated electric travel solutions, helping the Hong Kong Transport Department achieve its long-term goal of carbon neutrality. Through electrification and intelligent means, it will improve the operating efficiency and service experience of the Hong Kong taxi industry.
